PrinciplesUp one level
- In seeking to protect and promote public health by generating adequate and timely information about prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease, we hold paramount the need to protect human subjects and their privacy.
- All interested entities must work together to move the system forward; we will encourage the input and participation of stakeholders from all interested constituencies. No single constituency will have a controlling influence.
- The finances and structure of this public-private partnership will be transparent to all participants and to the public.
- To the extent possible, suggested improvements to the system of clinical investigation should be empirically derived and evaluated.
- To avoid inappropriate influence of an individual or organization positioned to gain or receive competitive advantage, conflicts of interest will be disclosed and evaluated.
- Activities and innovations deriving from CTTI will be rapidly communicated to interested parties and the public.
